Forever Friends
Nori Tani
Artist Quote
For the past decade or so, twice a year—spring and autumn—I’ve traveled to Japan for what we call the “Tomodachi Tour.” I’ve performed live concerts with old friends and made many new ones along the way.
For me, friends are the most important thing after family.
On this CD, I’ve collected original songs by the wonderful musicians I’ve met through the Tomodachi Tour. I hope these beautiful melodies will find their way into everyone’s hearts.

I produced the album with Maurice Gainen, who also recorded my flute parts, mixed, and mastered the album.
Peter Erskine
“Every so often, an album of music will find its way to your ears as well as to your heart.
Nori Tani has recently been traveling between his home in California and birthplace in Japan, capturing musical moments in duet to best remember and celebrate his friendships.
This album is an entertaining and musically intelligent scrapbook. I can recommend Forever Friends to all fans of good music.”

Hubert Laws
“Nori Tani’s flute sound is so unique that I am able to identify it just as I can with a human voice... it is so much better than many other flute players.”
